Square Enix recently announced that Dissidia: Final Fantasy would be hitting Japanese stores just in time for Christmas, on 18^th December. Square Enix also announced that the game would be released in a bundle with the currently unreleased PSP-3000 model.

The PSP-3000 is basically just a PSP-2000 with added features such as a PS Home button, an anti-glare screen and a microphone. No word on whether or not the bundle will contain a special edition PSP (like many Square Enix and Sony bundles), however we’ll keep you posted.

Just over a week ago Square Enix released a game play trailer of their upcoming PSP Action RPG, Dissidia: Final Fantasy. The trailer featured a fight between Final Fantasy III’s Onion Knight and Cloud of Darkness, in a similar fashion Square Enix have released another game play trailer featuring Tidus and Jecht - opposed to Onion Knight and Cloud of Darkness. A new Dissidia: Final Fantasy video has surfaced online, the new video features in game footage of Final Fantasy III’s Onion Knight facing off against the game’s antagonist; Cloud Of Darkness. Apparently, this video was the video shown at Square Enix’s recent DKΣ3713 Party; and as far as I’m aware this is the first in the way of “real” Dissidia: Final Fantasy in game footage.

One of the things that I noticed about the video is the way that Onion Knight changes between his default, Ninja and White Mage forms. By the looks of things, it seems as if Onion Knight can change job classes at the click of a button; though this isn’t confirmed. Another thing that I noticed is that Limit Breaks absolutely own the other fighter, towards the end of the video we see Cloud Of Darkness using a Limit Break that brings Onion Knight down from basically full health; to well - next to nothing.

The following video, featuring news coverage of Square Enix’s recent DKΣ3713 Private Party was spotted on Sony’s PlayStation TV in Japan. The video shows some new footage, and some previously shown footage.

The majority of it’s not breaking news, though we do briefly see some game play footage of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy demo and the Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep demo. We also see some footage from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete.
