Hey everyone,
If you remember, a few weeks ago the Japanese gaming magazine, Dengeki interviewed Tetsuya Nomura regarding the upcoming DKΣ3713 Party in Japan. Nomura said that as well as the titles already announced to be at the event, we’d also be seeing “Other big news“.
Over the past few weeks the “Other big news” has been rumoured to be many a thing, whether it be Kingdom Hearts III or a remake of Final Fantasy VII - but we have new information that suggest it’s actually a new Final Fantasy title for the PlayStation 3.
1UP.com’s latest 1UP Yours podcast featured Shane Bettenhausen talking about the possibility of another Square Enix title coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3. After speaking to a Square Enix representative, Shane claims to have got this reply:
“The Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix’s Japan event in 2 weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony.”
This doesn’t definitely mean it’s going to be a new Final Fantasy title, but in the wake of Final Fantasy XIII’s Xbox 360 confirmation; it would be wise of Square Enix to do something to please Sony fans. Of course, this could just be a brand new title; such as Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant are - however, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a new Final Fantasy game.
Considering that the DKΣ3713 Party is focused around Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII - the chances are that it’ll either be a new Kingdom Hearts title or a new Fabula Nova Crystallis title!
