The majority of you already probably know that Square Enix and tri-Ace’s collaboration title, Infinite Undiscovery was released in North America yesterday. What you might not know, or have noticed is that on the back of Infinite Undiscovery’s instruction manual there’s an advert for Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope.

This isn’t really anything out of the ordinary, but the “ONLY ON XBOX 360” logo that’s printed on the back is. Ever since Star Ocean 4 was announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 fans have been hoping that the game would only be a time release exclusive; in a The Last Remnant fashion - hopefully this is still the case as other games such as Bioshock, Enchanted Arms and Lost Planet have housed this logo but still gone multi-platform.

Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope hasn’t been confirmed as a Xbox 360 exclusive, but it’s looking that way. We’ll keep you posted with all the latest news on the Star Ocean 4: The Last Remnant front.

As of earlier today, Square Enix have begun broadcasting commercials for two of their most anticipated Xbox 360 RPG’s; Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope and The Last Remnant. When I say that their broadcasting commercials for Xbox 360 games, I mean Xbox 360 games - unfortunately Square Enix have still given no word on whether or not Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope will come to the PlayStation 3, nor have they commented on the PlayStation 3’s The Last Remnant’s release date.

Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope’s release date is still to be announced, however we now know that The Last Remnant will be coming to North American Xbox 360 owners on the 20^th November 2008.

During today’s E3 conference, Square Enix released some new footage of yet another one of their upcoming Xbox 360 titles; Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope. The footage shows some clips from the debut trailer, however the majority of it is actually in game footage, and I’ve got to say - Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope looks absolutely stunning, hopefully it’ll live up to it’s graphics with a solid story and game play.

First of all I’d like to apologise for not frequently updating the website with the latest Square Enix news, I have a number of reasons for not doing so but the main two are that I’ve just managed to fix WordPress so that I can actually post news again, and also, up until today Square Enix haven’t really released any new news on any of their next generation titles.

However, earlier this morning Square Enix released the first ever Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope trailer.

Update: We previously reported that Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope would be an Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 title, however Square Enix producer Yoshinori Yamagishi released this statement in a press conference.

We cannot announce anything on that. We can say that it will be released first [on the Xbox 360]. Whether we’ll release it on the PS3 is undecided. We may release it, we may not.

So in other words, just like with The Last Remnant it looks as if Xbox 360 owners will be getting the game before PS3 owners; however that’s not to say PS3 owners won’t be getting the game.

Several months ago Square Enix and triAce announced that they would be working on yet another Star Ocean title, previously the games platform was unknown however we now know that the game will definitely be released on PLAYSTATION 3. Rumours are flying around that the game will also be released on Xbox 360, however this is yet to be confirmed. Below you will find the first Star Ocean 4 trailer to be released, it shows no in game play, however it does show some stunning FMV movies.
