Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X was Squaresoft's first PlayStation 2 Final Fantasy. The game showed beautiful surroundings and character renders, the graphics were truely the best of that time.
The story takes place with Tidus, a young, professional Blitzball player from the city of Zanarkand. When he mysteriously wakes up in the land of Spira he meets the Summoner Yuna, from there on Tidus becomes one of Yuna's guardians on a quest to defeat Sin, the ultimate evil of Spira.
Like Final Fantasy IX, you really get into the role of the characters and story and in the same way you do whilst playing FFIX, but the thing about Final Fantasy X is the emotions characters show, you can actually relate to them in many ways and this is what Role Play Games should be about. It sets revolutionary, ground braking standards for other games!
And the gameplay, the battle system is pretty awesome but it's very slow, so you have to be patient with the game. Some of the sequences take really long and because it's turn based it makes it last even longer.
Despite the battles systems length this game is still, in my opinion the best Final Fantasy game ever made. The storyline really is one that makes the game worth playing!
9.5/10
