Review
Final Fantasy VII is probably Squaresoft's most famed game, the reputation and hype for this game still
remains almost as large as it was when the game was first released for the PlayStation back in 1996.
With good reason too, many would say this is Square's best game, if not the best game ever made. One of
the main reasons for this are the graphics, when it was originally released it was one of the first 3D
games out, the fact it was a Final Fantasy game gave it an even bigger following.
The characters are great to, you take on the role of the former SOLDIER Cloud Strife. During Cloud's
adventure you will come across several highs and lows, meeting new people and watching the story of
Final Fantasy VII unravel.
As for the gameplay, looking back the battle system wasn't the greatest battle system ever to exist but
its suffice and the ability to customize weapons and magic with Materia added a twist to the battle
system, changing your weapons from standard.
Final Fantasy VII also had a great soundtrack, some of the orchestral songs such as 'One Winged Angel'
have become the most famous Final Fantasy songs ever released. Final Fantasy VII's music improved the
game quite a lot, because the music was a great way to show the mood of the game without the use of
voices.
Overall Final Fantasy VII is a great game, deffinately one of the best Final Fantasy games ever created,
the storyline is pretty awesome and so is the gameplay.
8.5/10
