Black Waltz No 3 #2
The first boss battle of Disc 2, you fight him during the cable car to Alexandria so make sure you save at the Rest Room.
You'll have weaker characters than usual but the boss is weakened from the South Gate insident. Marcus has joined your party for this boss, he's pretty similar to Zidane with the Attack and Steal abilities.
Stiener should go into Trance somewhere in this battle which means you can kill the boss in about 2 hits. But if not just keep attacking with everyone and using Dagger's Cure if anyone gets badly damaged.
Giant Snake
This boss shouldn't cause any trouble, just attack with everyone and use Dagger's Cure when needed.
After about 1500 damage or so it will Escape, and that's all there is to it!
Antlion
I suggest you stock up on Potions for this battle, as it's Sandstorm attack can leave you with low health. Also Phoenix Downs or Phoenix Pinions are useful for Reviving.
Command Vivi to use Blizzara/Thundara (depends on whether you have Ice Rod or Thunder Rod equipped), both are equally as good. Have Zidane attack and Freya use Lancer.
Watch out for it's counter attack, it only causes between 150-200 damage and mainly goes for Zidane, so most healing should be focussed on him. Otherwise it shouldn't attack Vivi or Freya much at all.
Beatrix #2
Again, you can't kill her. Just all out attack because in the end she will just use a move that will reduce everyone to 1 HP and then the battle ends.
Thorn & Zorn
FINALLY! You get to kill the brats! Well not as such, they run away but anyway. Again with this boss just all out attack, they use the move Meteorite which is pretty damn powerful. But theres nothing to fear if you make each character do the following;
Zidane: As usual just keep on attacking.
Vivi: Keep casting Fira.
Freya: Keep using Lancer.
Stiener: User Fira Sword.
And remember you
ONLY have to attack one of them to finish the boss so don't waste time with the other!
Beatrix #3
Not Again! Beatrix #3 is no stronger than before and like last time you can't kill her. Use the same strategy and don't bother reviving fallen characters.
If you manage to survive this one Beatrix joins your party!
Giant Snake #2
This boss is probably the strongest boss yet. Attacking it with Zidane will make it curl up, whilst it's curled up your attacks are pretty muc h useless so I'd use this as a chance to heal, but keep attacking and after about 2 turns it will unravel and use Earth Magic. This heals it 300 HP, but that should be okay because Vivi's attacks should be reaching at least 800 and Zidane's at least 600.
Keep using Thundara as Vivi and make Dagger use an Ether on Vivi whenever his MP goes below 12. As usual make Zidane keep attacking, as his attacks should be pretty damn powerful by now.
A useful tip for this battle is to equip Zidane's "Protect Girls" ability, this will help keep Dagger safe.
Lani #2
Quite the challenge you've got, Lani has about 6000 HP, she mainly directs her magic attacks at Dagger. So keep using Cure as Dagger to keep her alive! Using Vivi's Fira is a good idea that should do about 1000 Damage and Zidane's attacks should be doing 1000 Damage. So this fight isn't going to take to long, but still a challenge.
Make sure you've equipped some armour to Quina and keep attacking with her, for whatever use it is.
She uses multiple range magic as well as directed so if anyone gets badly hurt I suggest you heal quickly!
Ogre
This boss just sorta jumps out on you, it may look tough but it isn't. It has fairly high HP, higher than Lani #2 anyway.
Just keep attacking, you shouldn't really need to heal. Use attacks like Vivi's Fira and Eiko's Fenrir.
Soulcage
This boss is quite weak surprisingly, it has at least 10,000 HP but the main point is
don't use fire magic (Fire, Fira) on Soulcage. It will just set it on fire and it all ends up coming back around on you! But incase you accidently do (because you didn't read properly!) then use a move such as Blizzara, that deals plenty of damage and puts the fire out!
So now onto attacks, use Zidane and Dagger's standard attacks then use Blizzara as Vivi and Fenrir as Eiko. It's likely that Vivi/Eiko will run low on HP and MP, if so just use an Elixier to bring them back to full health and MP.
If anyone dies in this battle, (my characters died like 6 times! xD) just use a Phoenix down or two, or six in my case. Then heal them with Cure, Cura, Hi Potion. If they are low on MP too and they may need MP then just use an Elixier! Good Luck!
Apparently you can just cast the spell "Life" on Soulcage and it will immediately finish him off, due to the fact he is an undead creature (Zombie status). Although I haven't tested it, but if it is true Undead Killer ability is a good idea to!
Aramant
You'll have to fight him alone with just Zidane, although it's pretty easy. Just keep attacking, your attacks do most damage towards the front of the battlefield, so attack when Aramant is nearest you.
