Tetra Masters Guide
Tetra Masters is a cool little feature in Final Fantasy IX, you have a hand of 5 cards and have to defeat your opponent otherwise you lose a card.
All cards have "health" and a series of arrows around the edges, the move arrows a card has the better.
The winner is the one with the most cards in play after all 10 cards have been placed, meaning to win you must take over your opponents cards. If your oppenents card has a side with no arrow, and your card has a side with an arrow that could point to the side with no arrow then place the card there, you will take the opponents card without engaging in combat! Now if this sequence doesn't occur then you have to either place a card away from your opponents or battle them, I suggest doing this with a stronger card than theres or your card will be taken over.
This is when chains occur, they attack you and any open cards get taken over in the process which is not good.
When starting first, the best tip is to get a card that is resonably strong and has arrows pointing many directions and place it in the corner that suits it most, the it's pretty easy to get your opponents first cards. If you don't start first try and look for open (un-arrowed) sides of your opponents card and take it from there.
