As Luxord's title says, he's a Gambler of Fate. Which means this battle is slightly different than the previous Organization XIII members you've fought so far.
The first thing you'll notice is the Time Guage, and with Luxord been a gambler, this is of course a game. You have to defeat Luxord by reducing his time guage to naught, but before your time guage runs out. The quickest way to decrease is time guage is to just go straight into Valor Form and unleash hefty combos on him, this way you do damage and decrease his time guage. You'll notice that once his time guage has run out he doesn't die, you must finish a successful combo and finish Luxord off with it.
He mainly uses cards to attack you, but he also does an attack which turns Sora into a dice. You can use the Reaction Command, 'Begin Game' whilst in Dice or Card form, but the best way to win this fight whilst your a dice is to just keep jumping towards Luxord, this won't damage him a lot but none the less it will damage him.
