Hey everyone,
Today Square Enix (via Jeux France) released the first ever footage for Dissidia: Final Fantasy on PSP. The trailer doesn’t show any new faces however it does reveal a few key things; previously I had predicted the game would be something along the lines of Tekken or Super Smash Bros. but I guess this trailer totally blows that out of the window. Instead battles visually look something like Kingdom Hearts II’s but I can imagine they play extremely differently.
Another interesting point that was raised is that characters can use limit abilities, during the battle sequence between Zidane and Kuja both characters are seen using their Trance forms. This suggests that other characters such as Sephiroth will be able to use their trademark techniques, for example Supernova.
For those of you that were a member at the previous forum, you may know that after the server move things weren’t technically going very well. Because of those, and an influx of spam members and posts I decided it would be as gooder time as any to wipe the slate clean.
The new forum has a lot to offer that the old didn’t, most strikingly a new skin. Final Fantasy Forums return with a sleek silver skin and several new modifications including an arcade system, a RPG system ran using RPG Inferno and a Downloads system.
The arcade currently has several flash games that let you play against other forum members and try for that high score! The games we have range from the old classics like Pac-Man all the way up to newer games such as Sonic The Hedgehog!
With the new forum our old RPG system returns, RPG Inferno however this time we’re running a paid version that is far better. Once the RPG is finished you will be able to travel from town to town fighting off other players and enemies alike! Not only this but you can take a break and play the popular Triple Triad game that was featured in Final Fantasy VIII!
The last new feature to the forum is the Downloads system, once members begin to contribute the download system will be a hub for all the members to share files such as MP3’s and even games (within reason of course)! So what are you waiting for?

Hey Everyone,
According to IGN there’s bad news for all you Xbox 360 fans, for besides Final Fantasy XI, Square has no plans for any future Final Fantasy games on the Xbox 360 console. On a question if the Wii or Xbox 360 will be getting a FF game, Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto had this to say: “For the Wii, we have FF Crystal Chronicles in production. As for FF on the Xbox 360, it’s currently a completely blank page.”
Secondly, in an interview with Square Enix’s Chief Executive Yoichi Wada and FT, Wada states that Square is setting their priorities on handheld systems, such as the Nintendo DS, for they will dominate sales this year. “There is a new breed of gamers in the market – we have to make games for all kinds of people,” said Mr Wada. “In the old days, we could just focus on the PlayStation or the GameBoy, but the environment has changed completely.” This is one of the reason’s Dragon Quest IX will be produced for Nintendo DS only.

Nothing has been said on how the Wii Remote will be used however we can assume Chocobo Dungeon will be packed with mini games! Square Enix haven’t said anything on a release date yet, so keep tuned for more information!
