Hey everyone,
Not the kind of title you want to read really is it? Considering that we’d all been hoping for a 10th Anniversary Final Fantasy VII remake. But Nomura quite clearly put his foot down and said there will be no Final Fantasy VII remake anytime soon.
Interestingly though Yoshinori Kitase, overall director of the Final Fantasy VII compilation added:
However, when we ask the staff who are making FFXIII why they entered the company, there are many people who say, ‘I’m an FFVII fan, I also want to do a remake.
Quickly followed up by Tetsuya Nomura with:
We of course know ourselves what the fans want so we’d like to continue thinking up a variety of things. As long as there are people who want to make it and people who are waiting for it, we don’t want to proclaim “the end”.
So put it this way, there is still hope that a Final Fantasy VII remake might exist one day in far future - but right now it’s definitely not on Square Enix’s cards.

Hey everyone,
Final Fantasy XIII was featured inside Dengeki this week, not much new information was revealed however Dengeki did mention that the game is speculated for a 2008 release. However, in the section there was a huge piece of Lightning artwork, the main character from Final Fantasy XIII. It’s huge and really high quality so check it out!
On a side note, at the moment I’m taking important exams at school - so if you haven’t noticed news has slowed down a bit at Final Fantasy Rebirth. Though I finish school for a good few months so expect a lot more from the site sometime next month!

Hey everyone,
Or so says Square Enix, today Square Enix announced that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII will have at least 30 hours of gameplay for the main storyline and another 100 hours on top of that for the side-quests. The game, set for a release on the 13th September in Japan is currently 90% complete, and the storyline is shaping up to be pretty lengthy lasting at least 30 hours - but it’s take another 100 hours to obtain all the materia and complete all the side-quests and jobs!

Hey everyone,
Today Square Enix released a trailer for the upcoming Wii title, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. This is the first trailer to actually show any decent Crystal Bearers footage, and from what I can make this is going to be like no other Final Fantasy game!
The thing that stood out the most for me was the battle system, instead of the traditional gameplay style shown in previous Final Fantasy titles The Crystal Bearers seems to play more like a Legend of Zelda title than a Final Fantasy game. I think that The Crystal Bearers is shaping up pretty nicely, and it will be great to have a Final Fantasy title that breaks the classic Final Fantasy mold and offers something totally new!
Definitely a title to for, unfortunately no release date has currently been set though I presume it will be either late 07 or early 2008.
