A new scan has surfaced from the popular Japanese magazine, Shonen Jump. The magazine features several new screenshots from the new Dragon Quest title, Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Sky on Nintendo DS.

The scan reveals a lot more about the main character, and how you will be able to personalize him/her. The DS allows you to modify the characters face, as well as clothing and armour.

Also it would seem Dragon Quest IX uses a turn based battle system, though this has to be confirmed.

With the recent release of the Anniversary Editions of Final Fantasy I and II Square Enix have confirmed the game for North America. This comes as no surprise because the Japanese game did have an option to be played in English, so a port wouldn’t take long at all.

Final Fantasy: Anniversary Edition will be released on the 26^th June 2007, shortly followed by Final Fantasy II: Anniversary Edition on the 24^th July 2007.

Unfortunately there has been no word on a European release for the game, but I’m sure it will be sometime in 2007, otherwise it wouldn’t really be an Anniversary Edition would it?

Only six days away from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings Japanese release on the 26^th release Square Enix have released another trailer for the game. It can be found on the Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings website.

Also a new Final Fantasy Tactics A2 scan has surfaced on the internet, it doesn’t really show much new information but it’s high quality and has some nice artwork and screeshots of the Nintendo DS title!

Several new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates scans surfaced on the net today, the four scans show new details about the battle system and how it will incorporate the Nintendo DS’ stylus. So it’s definitely worth checking out! Also there is a much higher quality image of Nasche, the new character that we reported on earlier this week!

Five new Fabula Nova Crystallis scans have recently surfaced on the internet from an English PlayStation magazine. The scans feature an interview between OPS and Motomu Toriyama, which is actually quite interesting! The following caught my eye:

In fact, the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII project isn’t just limited to three titles - there are many different ascpects. In terms of formats we’re reaching, as well, it’s not simply exclusive to the PS3 and mobile phones.

This is great news because now we know that there are more than the three currently confirmed Fabula Nova Crystallis titles in the works, and not just for PlayStation 3! This means we could just see a Haeresis XIII MMORPG for the Xbox 360!

In other news the Japanese Final Fantasy II: Anniversary Edition box art has surfaced on the internet, as you can expect it stays classic to the series, however it does boast a 20^th Anniversary logo in the top right corner of the case.

A new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates Scan scan has surfaced on the internet, courtesy of our affiliate Spiras Destiny.

The scan shows a picture of a new character who is going by the name of Nasche, and well that’s it! The scan is pretty low quality but I’m sure a high quality one will surface closer to the weekend!
