Hey everyone,
The above image is of an advert that was recently spotted in a Best Buy store, the advert claims that Final Fantasy VII will be released on PlayStation 3 on the 16th August 2008. Either Square Enix have managed to keep the Final Fantasy VII remake under wraps for a long time, or it’s someone’s idea of a joke - the chances are that it’s the latter. I seriously doubt that we’ll be seeing a PlayStation 3 remake of Final Fantasy VII this year, or any time soon for that matter.

Hey everyone,
According to the video game blog, GOONL!NE Kingdom Hearts III has began it’s pre-development phase.
Apparently a Square Enix representitive spoke to the website claiming that Kingdom Hearts III is in it’s pre-development phase and will be announced in the very near future. The Square Enix representitive told GOONL!NE that the announcement could either be made sometime during Square Enix’s DKΣ3713 Event; or later in the year at the Tokyo Game Show.
Furthermore, GOONL!NE speculated that Kingdom Hearts III would be a PlayStation 3 exclusive due to the fact that Square Enix made the decision to port Final Fantasy XIII to the Xbox 360.
I wouldn’t place any bets on Kingdom Hearts III been announced at either of the fore-mentioned events, especially due to the credibility of the source; it’s not exactly a well known blog. If you ask me, the chances of Kingdom Hearts III been announced at the Tokyo Game Show are about as likely as the previously mentioned rumour of a Final Fantasy VII remake announcement.

Hey everyone,
With Square Enix’s DKΣ3713 Private Party now in full swing, tidbits of information are starting to surface on the internet.
First of all, we have some new details regarding the new Final Fantasy XIII trailer that was shown at the event. One of the scenes in the trailer features Final Fantasy XIII’s pig-tails girl wearing a hood, whilst stood in front of a casket. Also, a character that looked similar to Final Fantasy VII’s Sephiroth was shown in the trailer. Considering that Tetsuya Nomura was asked to create a next generation Final Fantasy VII with Final Fantasy XIII, it’s pretty much safe to say that this Sephiroth clone will be the villain - I mean, look what he did with Lightning; Nomura definitely didn’t stray too far away from Cloud’s design and personality.
On the Final Fantasy XIII front, four new pieces of Final Fantasy XIII artwork were shown at the event. This includes images of Cocoon, Carbuncle, Shiva and Ifrit; as well as a couple of other things that I don’t recognize. Check the images out below!
Yoshitaka Amano, the main character artist for Final Fantasy’s I through to VI has been working on some artwork for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, some of this art was shown at the DKΣ3713 event. We also have some details of a new character that was shown in the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer; apparently the girl was dressed in modern day clothing in an art gallery full of pieces similar to those done by Anamo.
Final Fantasy Agito XIII’s PSP release was further confirmed by the fact that the trailer showed the Sony PSP’s face buttons (X, Square, Triangle, Circle) throughout the Agito trailer.
During a Dissidia: Final Fantasy showcase, a series of villians from previous Final Fantasy titles were shown. To name those villains, those attending the event saw images of Sephiroth, Kefka, Golbez and Exdeath.
