Those of you that play Square Enix’s MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI may know that a patch was recently released that added a series of new bosses - including the infamous Pandemonium Warden boss.

A guild named Beyond the Limitation decided to take the task of defeating Final Fantasy XI’s ultimate boss, and after 18 hours of hardcore game play; finally decided to call it a day. According to the guilds leaders, “People were passing out and getting physically ill. We decided to end it before we risked turning inot a horrible new story about how video games ruin peoples lives.“

Furthermore, the guild leaders went on to say that beating Pandemonium Warden would’ve taken them an additional five or so hours, on top of the 18 that they’d already been fighting. Every few hours Pandemonium Warden changes form, Beyond the Limitation managed to get the boss to it’s 20th; and apparently final form - but beating that final form would’ve meant playing Final Fantasy XI for an entire day solid.

There are glitches in Final Fantasy XI that allow players to defeat Pandemonium Warden illegitimately, though no one has actually managed to defeat the boss legitimately.
