Square Enix have never been the best company for giving the fans what they want at gaming expositions such as E3, as they always miss the titles that people want to see most of the list. Sure, it’s great news that we’ll be seeing playable demos of Chrono Trigger DS, Final Fantasy IV DS and Infinite Undiscovery - but it’s a shame that we won’t be seeing the likes of Final Fantasy XIII, as we haven’t heard anything concrete on that game in months. The same goes for Dissidia: Final Fantasy, if the game is “so near completition” in Japan, surely translators have been working on localizing the game?
Hopefully this line up isn’t set in stone, and Square Enix will surprise us with at least a little Final Fantasy XIII - I wouldn’t keep your fingers crossed though!

Reason why Final Fantasy XIII and Dissidia is absent is probably the same reason it wasn’t shown last year. Because E3 is no longer this big event, there’s no reason to show the goods. Plus with the Square Enix Party ‘08 DK-SIGMA-3-13 or whatever coming up. Its really not necessary.
Plus since its the square enix’s party. There’s less chance we get trailers. So more security. Which means ballsville. Everyone always gets excited about new trailers. When in reality, we probably won’t get them.
