[DISCUSS TOKYO GAME SHOW 2006]

Compilation of Final Fantasy VII
I'll admit, I wasn't expecting anything but maybe a peak at the upcoming PSP title Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII; however I couldn't be more wrong! As well as an even deeper venture into the world of Crisis Core we have also heard news of the PLAYSTATION 3 Blu-Ray Disk film, Advent Children Complete. Sephiroth stabbing Cloud and FFVII:ACC Logo
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete
Advent Children Complete as mentioned before is the special Blu-Ray edition of Square Enix's hit film, Advent Children. So far we don't have any concrete information on any new features of this special edition however we do know that Advent Children Complete will contain extra scenes that weren't in the original, somewhat like a director's cut. We can also expect some editted scenes, one for instance is when Sephiroth stabbed Cloud through the shoulder with his Masamune; in Advent Children Complete he instead stabs him in the shoulder and hurls him into the air.
At current we have no set release for Advent Children Complete however we can probably be safe to assume that it will be out sometime in 2007.

[DISCUSS ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE]
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
A new trailer for Crisis Core was shown yesterday in PSP resolution. As we already know the game is based around Zack, but the trailer showed us some new information that the game also tells the story behind Zack and Aerith's meeting. However Aerith has been given an overhaul and has a totally new character design in which she is shown in a white and blue dress, unlike her usually pink one. Other characters that were introduced in the trailer are Zack's superior, whom still has no name and Cloud as he was whilst he was in SOLDIER. As well as characters we also got to see Bahamut and Ifrit in the trailer, however as an enemy instead of a summon.
We also got to see some nice gameplay footage from the trailer, the battles are all set in real time with you been able to free move Zack around from what we have gathered. During certain stages in a roulette wheel will stop, whatever this does we do not yet know.
On the third day of TGS information has been flying around that Crisis Core will be released in Japan some time around Spring 2007, however this game has been kept extremely low profile so whether or not this is true we will have to wait and see.
Stay tuned for anymore Crisis Core TGS information!

[DISCUSS CRISIS CORE]

Fabula Nova Crystallis FF XIII
This is the big one we were all expecting news on, however we haven't got so much that we hadn't already speculated here at Final Fantasy Rebirth. Yesterday Final Fantasy XIII and FF Agito XIII both got new-ish trailers shown. However the FF Versus XIII got the same trailer shown that was at E3 2006. Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII
The Final Fantasy XIII trailer wasn't much more than the one we saw at E3, it was basically just a remixed version with a few new scenes. However the trailer began and ended in the same we the E3 Trailer did, we did however see a bit more information on the heroine of the game and how the combat will work.
The heroine of FF XIII has a special devices that allows her to move faster than the average person, which makes sense considering how much she was zipping about in the E3 Trailer. There has also been much despute about what the battle system will be like in FF XIII, however we can know say that it won't be much different from the previous games, it seems apparent that you freely move around your main character and then when your Active Time Guage fills up the game goes into Slow Motion and allows you to chose your commands, from the trailer we speculate that you can chose up to five commands a turn, each command costs a certain amount of ATB Points and when you use them all up you can't chose any more commands that turn. However this is merely just speculation from what we have seen. Other than that we don't know much else about Final Fantasy XIII or it's gameplay, shame we didn't here anything on the main characters name too.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII
Agito had a huge burst of information yesterday with it's first ever trailer been shown! The trailer began by flying over a ruined area before setting it's location on an island. The camera then shifted to the Magic School shown in previous artworks with lots of students racing around, they all faded into nothingness and the camera focussed on a lone individual. The boy cut his finger and dipped it into a small console, and with this the whole building seemed to resume life, the boy drew out a set of cards but to his misfortunate the school collapsed leaving him unconscious and his cards scattered, his mobile phone then rang to wrap up the trailer.
Final Fantasy Agito XIII could turn out as a really fun mobile title, keep checking this spot for anymore Agito XIII information that arrises at this years Tokyo Game Show.

Final Fantasy XII
There has been nothing of great interest said on Final Fantasy XII however the DS prequal Revenant Wings has had a huge burst of information!
Square Enix showed a trailer for Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings this morning, the trailer opens up and shows some scenes of airships then quickly moves on to show a scene in which Vaan pulls a sword from the ground, the camera then switches to Penelo who is dancing. After this breif character introduction we see Vaan and Penelo running from some collapsing ruins and just managing to catch the edge of an airship before the ground crumbles beneath their feat. Unfortunately no gameplay footage has been shown but we do know that Revenant Wings will use the DS Touch Screen to move the characters around, taking a much more important role than other DS games.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+
The Tokyo Game Show 2006 has shown a lot of information on 2 new Kingdom Hearts' titles, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ and RE:Chain of Memories to our surprize. Unfortunately we still haven't heard any word on Kingdom Hearts III, though the new Secret Movie in Final Mix+ shows even more hints towards the possibility of a Kingdom Hearts III.
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+
Just days before TGS we heard information about a Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, however we now know a lot more, the title will have a '+' on the end of the name, more than likely to show that it's more than just a remix of Kingdom Hearts II. The title itself will contain many new scenes including a whole load of cutscenes about Roxas, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ will also include an updated battle system, English voiceovers, a new secret ending movie and will be set for a Spring 2007 release in Japan.
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ will also come bundled with Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories.

[DISCUSS KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX+]
Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories
Let's save the best 'til last, and we have done. Square Enix and Disney are remaking the classic GBA title, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the PS2. So if you were one of those unfortunate people who never had the chance to own a GameBoy Advance you may still get to play the title on PS2, RE:Chain of Memories looks good so far. It will be bundled with Final Mix+ and boast lots of new features.
The game will include new areas and new cutscenes, but still keep the old stuff we loved, Room Synthesis and the card system is still in RE:Chain of Memories! The game doesn't play exactly like Chain of Memories did however, instead of simply running around, jumping and jamming the A button to use cards you now have new abilities like in the previous Kingdom Hearts games. The popular Triangle buttoned Reaction Command is back too, so we can probably expect abilities such as Super Jump to return as well.
This game just gets better because we now know that RE:Chain of Memories will include the Reverse/Rebirth mode from the original, for those of you who don't know about Reverse/Rebirth it was a replay of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories but as Riku, with a different story and new Organization XIII members appearing!
New information says that as well as RE:Chain of Memories, the second disk will also include special features however as of yet we don't what these will be. Most likely trailers and such like on the European Advent Children Special Features disk.

[DISCUSS RE:CHAIN OF MEMORIES]

That's it, thanks for reading our Tokyo Game Show 2006 special! The events now over, we heard lots of juicy new information and it looks to me like Square Enix are really swaying towards the DS with titles such as Heroes of Mana and It's a Wonderful World - so I'd go out and spend those PSP savings on a DS if you haven't already got one!
